Job Description

A fast growing and forward-thinking property management company are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their growing team in their brand new Southwark, London office.The UKs largest and most renowned build-to-rent operator are looking for an Assistant Accountant who will be reporting to the financial accountant and joining an impressive team of 6. This varied role will see the successful candidate taking ownership of the weekly bank reconciliation, liaising with the wider finance teamwhilst also supporting on month-end duties.As Assistant Accountant the main responsibilities include:

  • Processing bank reconciliations (average 100 weekly).
  • Balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly / quarterly basis.
  • Provide cash data and analysis from Yardi (Accounting software) to support the monthly cash-flow forecasting process .
  • Liaise and maintain relationships with the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable team and estate agents.
Ideal candidates will have prior accounts payable and bank reconciliation experience (ideally 2+ years experience) and have an AAT qualification or of graduate calibre (or equivalent). You will need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and carry a hardworking, helpful and approachable attitude.
