Job Description

Asset Manager - Real Estate. OUR CLIENT is a newly established Pan-European investment management firm that specialises in providing investments across the commercial sector of real estate, with a particular focus on retail, offices, andlogistics within the UK and across Europe. They are known for handling single transactions on behalf of their very successful real estate clients. They are in the process of developing a specialised team, and they are now looking for an Asset Manager to jointhem at their offices in North London.THE ROLE will see the individual reporting directly to the Managing Partner, carrying out responsibilities such as:

  • Participating in the asset management of the portfolio, working closely with the team and with external service providers (property and asset managers, leasing and investment agents, solicitors etc.) to drive asset performance.
  • Preparing asset level business plans and keep updated on a quarterly basis.
  • Maximizing operating performance, including minimizing operating costs for responsible assets.
  • Monitoring investment performance through the review of property financial and operating statements and actual vs budget operating statements.
  • Supporting the investment team in the asset acquisitions process, including underwriting and technical/impact due diligence by identifying asset specific impact initiatives.
  • Working alongside the impact team to formulate an impact focused business plan for each of the assets.
  • Developing a network of external advisors to assist in the implementation of projects and setting best practice policies.
  • Coordinating the execution of various environmental improvements to existing and new properties through refurbishment, redevelopment, or expansion. Identifying technologies or systems to improve the environmental performance of each building and work towardsnet carbon zero of the portfolio.
  • Assisting the impact team in the reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) for all assets. To assist with impact scoring and reporting as well as delivering on requirements for external assessments such as the annual Global Real Estate SustainabilityBenchmark (GRESB).
  • Assisting in property valuation process and in preparing internal and external reports and presentations.
THE PERSONmust be a fully MRICS qualified professional with previous experience of working within in the real estate sector in an asset management-related capacity. The candidate must also possess good knowledge of sustainableinvesting and implementation, as well as possess a strong academic record. The ability to track progress of multiple projects simultaneously is also a key criterion.
