Job Description

Remuneration package from £60,000 We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect/Principal Consultant/Solution Lead with functional/application consulting experience in the area of Enterprise Asset Management and/or other Asset and Work Management Solutions.The Consultant must have an appreciation for other related applications such as Mobile Field Working, Business Intelligence, and GIS and for Application Integration. The Consultant should have Utilities, Energy and/or Rail experience and have worked on multiple projects designing and configuring applications to meet a customers needs.What youll be doing:

  • Scoping, feasibility and definition
  • Advising the client on ways in which to leverage new and existing investment in IT to improve their business, and identifying a roadmap for future investment
  • Determining an appropriate product set and IT landscape to meet a business need
  • Inputting to business cases through defining solution options
  • Benefit identification and justification
  • Requirements capture and analysis
  • Leading solution design and configuration
  • Presales demonstrations and bid and tender responses
    • What were looking for:Specific product set training/knowledge transfer will be provided to the successful candidate, as part of a structured induction programme. It is transferable experience, core consulting competencies, an aptitude for design and the ability to see the big picture, that are essential in applying for this role.
  • At least 5 years in a Lead role with responsibility for and ownership of the design solution being delivered on large scale projects or programmes, in a Solution Architect or equivalent role.
  • Depth of experience and knowledge of asset and work management business processes and of utilities/rail business operations
  • At least 10 years experience of large and full lifecycle implementations of Asset and Work Management solutions (such as Ellipse and other Enterprise Asset Management solutions) Mobile Field Working, Scheduling Engines, Business Intelligence, and GIS
  • Understanding of integration capabilities and typical integrations for enterprise solutions
  • Experienced in producing high quality written outputs (deliverables) associated with implementations - essential
  • Experienced in working closely with client business and IT staff
  • Experienced in translating business needs into IT solutions and conversely confirming a solution will meet business needs
  • As this is a consultancy role the individual must be able to travel and be away from home for significant periods of time (usually Monday - Friday).
