Job Description

Area Sales Manager - Concrete Building Products Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Concrete Building ProductsIndustry Sector: Area Sales Manager, Account Manager, Fencing Posts, Precast Concrete Building Products, Concrete Lintels, Concrete Floor Beams, Copings, Chambers, Bollards, Merchants, Building MaterialsArea to be covered: South East & East AngliaRemuneration: £38,000 - £42,000 + 20% bonus Benefits: Hybrid company car and exceptional benefits package The role of the Area Sales Manager - Concrete Building Products will involve:

  • Field sales position high end range of manufactured pre cast concrete building products such as lintels, copings, fencing posts, floor beams, wall beams, bollards and chambers
  • All of your time will be spent selling to independent merchants, buying groups, and independent stockists
  • Taking over a territory that will include 395 active merchant, stockist and buying group accounts
  • Inheriting a territory currently turning over £6.5m with high growth potential
  • Dividing your time into time spent with high spending accounts vs. low spending accounts that need developing
  • 60% account management, 40% new business
  • Majority of time spent dealing directly at branch level but also dealing with regional directors to develop business
  • Ensuring call plans, CRM system and reporting are consistently up to date and timely
  • Regularly reporting into regional sales manager and working along-side other area sales managers
The ideal applicant will be Area Sales Manager - Concrete Building Products with:
  • Ideally sold building products to merchants
  • Ideally heavyside building products / materials such as: landscaping, lintels, fencing posts, beams, precast concrete, bricks or blocks (not essential however
  • Would consider outside of the industry i.e. (FMCG) if you have strong commercial, key account and territory management experience
  • Track record in sales to ideally national / independent builders merchants with experience in increasing sales from branches
  • Consultative, service driven sales approach with exceptional key account management / relationship building experience
  • experience in managing a territory including call plans, managing sales time, meetings and reporting
  • Commercially astute: appreciation for profit margins, presenting, communication and exceptional negotiation skills
  • Well presented, determined, analytical with genuine integrity
  • excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Computer applications and to think creatively, analytically and commercially are also highly desirable.
