Work hand in hand with Digital Delivery, enabling the squads to build and release world class secure products.You will identify and assess security threats and risks, support the digital squads in design and remediation, and provide consultancy to architect secure solutions.Client DetailsMy client is a leading fintech organisation based in London, rapidly growing their headcount across technology. They now have an opening for an experienced security architect in the realm of application security.They have a strong focus on new tech products and will be looking to bring an individual into the business who can adapt to new methods, processes and technology with ease.DescriptionApplication Security Architect - Fintech BusinessDay to day aspects of the role:

  • Embed secure-by-design and secure-by-default into standard working practices and technologies
  • Collaborate on development of secure solutions and patterns to address security risks and threats
  • Provide tangible requirements which align to security policy
  • Drive security improvements to SDLC
  • Improve in-house security tooling and solutions
  • Support Security Operations team, making recommendations and solutions to identified vulnerabilities
ProfileApplication Security Architect - Fintech BusinessThis role will be looking at a new area of tech and although the client has a number of expectations they are also keen to see candidates with a mixed level of experience.Candidates applying to this role will need a generally good understanding of Azure and identity management. They will also need to be able to explain and understand fully policy as code, compliance as code, and infrastructure as codeIdeal
  • Understanding of cloud platform security, particularly securing Azure workloads, PaaS and FaaS
  • Knowledge of the threats which face Web applications & APIs, and how to mitigate them.
  • Experience working within an agile environment, and with teams delivering Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
  • Scripting/Programming and configuration formats (e.g. Powershell, Azure CLI, HCL, YAML, Pulumi)
  • Experience with application security testing tools and solutions throughout the SDLC
DESIRABLE
  • Previous experience within a FinTech organisation, understanding the fast paced nature of the environment
  • Understanding of FCA and PCI data security control requirements
  • Identity - Azure AD, Identity Governance, usage of service principals, and modern web-based methods of authentication
  • Experience with Azure Sentinel, Security Center, and Secure DevOps kit
  • Technical experience in security vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
