Job IntroductionMain Responsibilities You will be joining the expanding UK Technology Resilience team and will have responsibility for overseeing Application Resiliency and related Team/Process activities for the UK Bank.

• Own the relationship with Product Teams and System Owners supporting the scheduling, developing and leading all Application Resiliency tests for the UK Bank and co-ordinate IT support for Group level DR testing.
• Provide subject matter expertise on application resilience and recovery methodologies, taking into account resiliency best practice and industry standards.
• Contribute to the Banks technology resilience strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the Banks overall business strategy.
• Contribute to the Application and Technical Resilience Policy for the Bank including the reporting of compliance against the policy.
• Contribute to the design and development of the IT Continuity and Resiliency framework and controls aligned to Traditional, Cloud and Hybrid based architectures.
• Establish Application resilience needs with the move to DevSecOps ways of working.
• Support engagement within the business to improve understanding of IT Resilience and Continuity to ensure appropriate measures are in place promoting a resilience by design approach
• Ensure all required resiliency control requirements are being met as part of infrastructure design collaborating where necessary, with Risk Functions, BCM and Operational Resilience teams.
• Design scenarios and Conduct resilience assessments of critical Business Applications (in the Cloud or on premises).
• Validate applications have appropriate recovery solutions and that can meet Recovery Time and Point Objectives through end to end tests with all interfaces tested.
• Input to technical provisions and plans so applications and services are developed to ensure availability of the Banks IT infrastructure and applications in the event of a disruption or disaster, including inputting into business continuity plans and crisismanagement plans.
• Support regular risk assessments across the IT Estate both internal and third parties to identify potential risks to the Banks operations and develop mitigation plans.
• Lead regular tests of the IT resilience and continuity plans to ensure that they are effective, up-to-date, and meet regulatory requirements.
• Provide support when required during vendor relationships, including providing input on contractual and service level agreements, this includes through an intra-group agreement.
• Collaborate with teams across the organization to promote a culture of resilience and provide training on infrastructure resilience best practices.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, such as DORA, ISO 22301, ISO 27001, and GDPR.

• 5+ years of experience in tech resilience, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
• Experience of designing, organising, leading and reporting on Continuity and Resilience exercises/tests plus continual improvement existing practices
• Experience of managing stakeholders and contributing teams to ensure full commitment to technology resilience initiatives.
• Project management skills, especially in relation to technical DR exercises.
• Risk Analysis Skills - Analysis of systems and architecture using a recognised approach i.e. FMECA
• Resilience experience in Traditional, Cloud based, Core Infrastructure and Business Applications.
• Experience of resilient architecture technologies e.g. Cloud (Region and Zones), clustering, diverse, redundant,
• Relevant professional certifications, such as CBCP, MBCI, or ITIL, are desirable.
• Familiarity with industry standards and guidelines e.g. DORA, ISO 22301, ITIL etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to analyse, articulate and present complex issues clearly and concisely.
• Ability to build strong professional relationships and represent Handelsbanken plc effectively.
