Job Description

Android DeveloperMy clients purpose is to connect drivers to a car when and where they want one. Our tech platform transforms cars into assets that keep communities moving.We are looking for an Android developer to join our team and continue developing our Android App. You will have significant input into the direction of the Android App and will work collaboratively with the whole team to make it a best-in-class product.Were growing rapidly which is exciting, but its also hard work and requires us to learn fast. The ideal candidate thrives in an agile environment, strives to produce high quality code and keeps up with the latest changes to the Android ecosystem.What youll be doing:

  • Helping achieve its purpose - connecting drivers to a car when and where they want one.
  • Working closely with our product and design team to plan and spec great features
  • Building, testing and releasing updates to our Android App
  • Engaging with our community of car hirers/owners at events and focus groups
  • Anything else youre skilled at that can add value
We are looking for someone who is:A great coder:
  • 2+ years of development experience with native Android
  • Working knowledge of Android specific design patterns
  • Solid understanding of the limitations of the platform, devices and SDK versions
  • Someone who can produce high quality code but with a focus on still meeting deliverables in a timely manner
A great written and verbal communicator:
  • Able to be involved with deep discussions about complicated architectural decisions.
  • Have opinions you can explain clearly to other team-mates.
  • A kind, thoughtful code reviewer Experience working in an Agile team Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
