Job Description

Deerfoot IT Recruitment is helping a UK-based company recruit an Android Developer, the role will be primarily remote and comes with a salary of up to £70k p/a.As an Android Developer, you will be involved in all aspects of development, including service design using microservices, coding, testing and a degree of maintenance and support. Your focus will be on delivering well tested software with assistance fromyour dedicated Quality Assurance/Tester(s)In your first few weeks in this Developer role, you can expect to:

  • Use Kotlin along with modern tooling such as Fastlane to build apps
  • Migration of UI components to Jetpack Compose
  • Build with a clean, testable architecture
  • Contribute to your teams robust unit and UI test suite and manage the mobile CI/CD infrastructure.
To apply for this Android Developer role, you will need 4+ years of commercial experience programming in Java and at least 2 years in Kotlin. You will also require the following:
  • A deep understanding of mobile technologies
  • An understanding of automated unit and UI testing solutions
  • Knowledge of how to build accessible apps.
