Job Description

Job Profile Summary:The Finance Business Partnering team is responsible for working directly with senior business unit and finance stakeholders to support budgeting and forecasting processes, delivery of month end and reporting timely and insightful management information. Therole holder will support Responsibilities:

  • Play an integral part in timely delivery of the month end close process including monthly accrual postings, ledger review and gaining a deep understanding of variances to the expected position
  • Accurate and timely preparation of centralised FBP reporting such as the CFO Cost Pack
  • Assisting budgeting and twice-yearly forecasting and accurate consolidation of data budget and forecast data
  • Develop business partnering skills, acting as an advisor to assigned Business Units (BUs), developing strong relationships with key business stakeholders and across Finance
  • Participating in monthly meetings with business managers from assigned BUs to review the full PnL AUM and margins; resolve queries, ensure accurate reporting and provide challenge
  • Performing ad hoc analysis for the business partnering team and wider business stakeholders, as required
  • Working with other finance teams to drive the resolution of data quality issues
  • Drive strategic initiatives to support the CFO and wider finance team, with a focus on continually enhancing or automating team systems and processes and improving the quality and efficiency of management information
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Natural ability with numbers
  • Ability to learn quickly and work unsupervised
  • Ability to develop relationships at all levels, both within finance and the business
  • Analytical skills with high level of attention to detail
  • Must be computer literate with strong Excel skills (i.e. vlookups and pivot tables) and have the ability to learn new systems.
  • Power BI experience desirable
  • Minimum part qualified in one of the following qualifications ACA, CIMA, ACCA (we are able to offer study support to complete the qualification)
