For furtherinformation about Nomura, visit www.nomura.comFunction Responsibilities:The Electronic and Algorithmic Trading Risk Function sits within Market Risk and is responsible for operating the Firms Global governance framework.The function provides 2nd line oversight and challenge of electronic and algorithmic trading activity across Rates, FX, Credit, Equities and F&O businesses. These businesses operate across all regions including Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Germany, the UK andthe US.Role Responsibilities:- Maintain and update the Electronic and Algorithmic Trading Controls Policy.- Facilitate with the preparation of risk specific packs for relevant committees and control forums including:o Preparation of meeting agenda and materialso Meeting facilitationo Minutes and actions follow-up- Review and analyse Electronic Trading relevant incidents and facilitate reviews of lessons learned and cross-functional reviews.- Review new Electronic Trading Systems or material changes to existing systems.- Facilitate the annual control attestation process.- Coordinate the annual MiFID II RTS 6 Self Assessment and Validation.- Review new and upcoming Electronic and Algorithmic Trading specific regulations. Perform gap analysis with the Firms Stakeholders to determine level of compliance, gaps and remediation plans.- Contribute to the continued development of the Algo Control Framework and work with key stakeholders to embed new processes.Skills Required:- At least 2 years relevant E-Trading/ Algorithmic experience in one of the following functions: E-Trading, Technology, Technology Risk, Compliance or Operational Risk Management.- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with all levels of management.- An ability to remain objective and to independently raise areas of risk exposure.- Ability to effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders including compliance, legal, internal audit, risk managements and senior business partners.- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple deliverables.- Preferred working knowledge of the following:o One or more Fixed income markets (Rates, Credit, FX) or Equities (and rules and regulations relating to electronic trading including but not limited to MiFID II, PRA, FCA, CFTC, Dodd Frank, MAR etc.)o Algorithmic and electronic trading workflows: algorithmic trading strategies, smart order routing, order management systems, auto hedging, pricing and RFQs, dark pools, FIX protocol etc.o Fundamentals of IT change, Technology platforms and standard control requirements.Nomura competencies:Trusted Partner- Understand clients needs and issues, and respond with high-quality proposals- Acquire capabilities to perform ones responsibilities and contribute to being a Trusted PartnerEntrepreneurial leadership- Produce new ideas that might challenge the status-quo or oneselfTeamworkCollaboration- Seek advice from senior colleagues and utilize it for improved results- Collaborate with members from relevant departmentsInfluence- Contribute to the success of the organization both quantitatively and qualitatively, and act with awareness of the impact on others- Serve as role model and provide guidance to junior employeesIntegrity- Have a good understanding of corporate philosophy, professional ethics, compliance, risk management, and code of conduct, and make decisions and take actions accordinglyRight to WorkThe UK Government have taken steps to reduce net migration to the UK by limiting the number of overseas workers coming to the UK for employment.
