Agile Test Lead 24 Months Assignment

Job Description

This public sector client is undertaking a long-term critical technology programme (18 months to 2 years) and requires Agile Test Leads with extensive experience in large-scale IT systems and expert knowledge of testing and leading quality of integratedweb solutions using Microsoft Development Technologies. 18 months to 2 years assignment, £450 to £550 a day Inside IR35. Hybrid working (2 days a week in Central London). The Agile Test Lead is expected to support the delivery of enhancements to the Digital Channel product area through development, testing, user acceptance, deployment to production and early life support, using their professional skills and expertise to planand deliver all of the services. Key responsibilities for the Agile Test Lead include:* On Boarding and knowledge transfer from existing team members: Initial onboarding activities to become familiar with both programme and workstream activities * Creation of Service Providers delivery plan and associated milestones: Work with the Authoritys team, including the Senior Product Owner, and representatives to provide a detailed delivery plan and confirmation if the makeup of the required developmentteam * Software Design, Development, and Implementation verification: Testing and assuring of enhancements and changes to the systems as agreed with the Senior Product Owner, Development Team and the Authority to support the Team deliverables * Test Planning and scoping: Developing and implementing comprehensive test plans, including test strategies, test objectives, resource allocation, and timelines. This involves analysing requirements, identifying test deliverables, and determiningtest scope and coverage. * Test automation: Defining Test automation strategy, unblock technical issues with test automation, delivering an automated test framework and test suite. * Test Reporting: Creation or overseeing of test completion report. Collaborating with project managers, business analysts, product owners, solutions architects, technical delivery leads, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements,priorities, and timelines, and communicating testing progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner. * Management: Recruiting, leading and managing up to 15 test professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and coaching to ensure high-quality testing deliverables, and managing resource allocation, performance evaluations, and career development. Key knowledge skills for the Agile Test Lead include:* Expert agile practices with proven experience * Expert in industry standard testing methodologies and tools * Experience of managing one or more agile development teams and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders when appropriate * Supporting the delivery of solutions within timescales, budget and required quality and performance standards * Expert in the following Technical Skillso C# .Net, C# .Net Core o TDD, Object Oriented Design, Page Object Modelling o Selenium or / and Playwright o SpecFlow o REST API, Web GUI, and cross-browser and cross-device testing (understanding of Pact, Postman equivalent tools/frameworks) o Git, including branching strategies o CI/CD pipelines * Knowledge in testing the following Azure technologies (including but not limited to) o SQL Server, o Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, o App Insights o API Manager * Experience deploying and maintaining web applications on Azure * Experience working with Accessibility (WCAG) regulations * Experience working on complex integration technology projects in conjunction with third parties * Demonstrable experience of working with Non-Functional testers on high-volume web applications of a similar size, nature and complexity over the past 5 years Where necessary, the Agile Test Lead will act as the Scrum Master for the Team.
