Job Details GOOSE Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Aerodrome Safeguarding and Operational Support Officer on behalf of a reputable airport based in the North of England.The role-Aerodrome safeguarding ensures the safety of aircraftoperating in the vicinity of aerodromes by controlling the impact of potentially hazardous development and certain other activities around them.Key Skills-Ability to apply appropriate technical and professional knowledge to the effective resolution of businessrequirements and day-to-day operational challenges with minimal assistance.The SO will have a background and practical experience of Aerodrome Operations and Project Management.Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of safeguarding and aerodrome operationsand procedures is essential.Have a thorough understanding and practical experience of safeguarding skills, and to have the ability to use sound analytical judgement when faced with complex and conflicting requirements.Ability to cope with high workloads forsustained periods, to work well under pressure, and to effectively prioritise, manage and deliver expected outcomes of a plethora of projects simultaneously.Excellent organisational skills combined with the ability to communicate effectively at all levelsis an essential requirement of the post.Be self motivated and used to a high degree of autonomous working, responsibility and decision making and to work with integrity and confidentiality where required.The role requires a degree of diplomacy and discretionwhen dealing with sensitive development or commercial matters.The Post Holder will have an aviation background (e.g. from an airside operations, Air Traffic Control or flight operations environment) and shall be organised and methodical.The Post Holder willhave experience of managing projects and will have a working knowledge and understanding of principles and procedures relating to Safety Management, Health and Safety and financial systems with the ability to impart knowledge and understanding thereof.Auditingexperience (to ISO9001/27001 Internal Auditor standard) and Project Management (Prince 2 practitioner or similar) or equivalent is desirable.Working pattern- Mon-Fri 0900-1700.- Hybrid work is available however you will be expected to travel to the airporttwice per month.- You may be required to travel in this role.
