Job Description

Hybrid workAccounts Receivable / Treasury Assistant - Real Estate. OUR CLIENT is an expanding and grounded, specialist real estate investor and developer who are backed by an equity rich institution. As they continue to go through a period of evolution and expansion, they have created a new role for a sole charge / dedicated Accounts Receivable / Treasury Assistant to join their head office finance team.THE ROLE will primarily be responsible for controlling the billing of tenants (customers) with additional treasury and arrears reporting responsibilities. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible forthe following:Accounts Receivable / Sales Ledger:

  • Managing and carrying out an up-to-date billing process for each revenue category.
  • Maintaining customer files and records for the purposes of ensuring accurate billing.
  • Generating and sending out demands and invoices for service charge, ground rent, rent, restaurant and other items.
  • Corresponding with customers.
  • Collecting and allocating payments
  • Processing and posting sales ledger journals.
  • Performing account reconciliations and resolving payment discrepancies.
  • Reporting on debtor aging and managing collection of overdue balances in conjunction with finance and sales colleagues.
  • Carrying out month-end close and year-end close of relevant ledgers and fulfil reporting requirements.
  • Supporting migration of relevant balances to a new general ledger.
Treasury:
  • Managing banking services and facilities.
  • Managing banking systems, including money transmission systems.
  • Bank balances reporting.
  • Monitoring cash flows and maintaining rolling forecasts.
  • Performing bank reconciliations.
  • Updating cash books on the accounting system.
  • Carrying out ad hoc treasury and banking duties.
THE PERSON: To apply, you will possess at least c2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable (sales ledger) within the property / real estate sector - gained in a busy environment and ideally with bookkeeping knowledge incorporating salesledger, rent receivable and cash / treasury - Exposure to service charges could also prove beneficial. It is essential that you are a confident Excel user and are expected to be a great communicator (verbal and written) and enthusiastic about the role. Itwould be advantageous if you have experience working in a multisite organisation. The role will suit someone with good attention to detail; who is able to multitask and prioritise their workload effectively.
