Job Description

Accounts Assistant for a forward thinking City based firm. This role is hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days home). Working as part of a friendly finance team, youll be supporting the Credit Control Supervisor and although focussed on Accounts Payable,youll also be working on the Accounts Receivable side in a full Accounts Assistant role.This Accounts Assistant role needs someone with bags of common sense, a good eye for detail, capable of chasing up payments & colleagues across the business and someone who will work methodically through a large volume of transactions. We are not lookingfor an ACA, ACCA part or fully qualified accountant- just someone with a little experience, who really enjoys the AP/AR side of finance and is looking to join a friendly finance team.Accounts Assistant (Accounts Payable & Receivable)

  • Daily control checks and fee rendering
  • Reviewing daily company bank accounts and post cash into Microsoft GP Dynamics on
  • Create Aged Debts for all companies on a weekly basis
  • Monitor unmatched cash, liaise with treasury, identify the payment and post
  • Contact clients by telephone, e-mail, letters to support cash identification
  • Monitor the credit control email inbox and respond to queries
  • Create payments to refund clients when required
  • Assist the legal team with any queries relating to debt passed to them for collection
  • Assist the Credit Controllers with cash collection duties
  • Working across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
