Job Description

The role will include some accounts payable and receivable, as well as bank reconciliations, creating and updating expense reports, and checking and maintaining Excel spreadsheets. This is a great opportunity for a more junior candidate to excel their skill-setin a well-rounded role and gain exposure to more responsibilities.Client DetailsFounded 20 years ago, my client specialises in providing labourers to construction companies across the UK. Although considered an SME, my client is a growing and successful organisation hence the introduction of new roles within the finance team among others.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of the role includes:

  • Dealing with queries on both sides of the ledger (sales and purchase)
  • Reconciling supplier statements and chasing missing invoices
  • Handling supplier queries and ensuring these are resolved quickly
  • Processing weekly payment runs
  • Handling expenses and processing these correctly and timely
  • Any ad hoc duties as and when required
ProfileThe successful candidate will...
  • Be degree qualified in Accounting & Finance
  • Be part-qualified in CIMA/ACCA (desired not needed)
  • Have 2 years experience working within an accounting function
  • Be self-motivated and a keen learner
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Be able to work within a team and take own initiative when needed
