Job Description

Our client based in North West London is seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator. The main duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Balancing accounts.
  • Processing sale invoices, receipts and payments.
  • Posting transactions into ledgers.
  • Processing purchase and sales invoices.
  • Checking, processing and posting cost of sales invoices to include freight and warehousing.
  • Checking, processing and posting overhead invoices such as phone, printing, cleaning etc.
  • Checking bank statements.
  • Dealing with financial paperwork.
  • Preparing payments on the on- line system to include checking the contract files for the relevant payment.
  • Credit control to include telephone chasing and correspondence to counter parties in respect of overdue payments.
  • Maintaining financial stock control position sheets.
  • Producing debtors and creditors listings.
  • Producing bank position statements.
  • Monthly statements to marine cargo insurers.
  • Assistance to Finance Manager.
The role requires someone who has good all round Accounts experience but MUST have experience of SAGE 50 Software. The successful candidate must also pay attention to detail and have the ability to work quickly and accurately. At least 2 years experiencein Accounts and Finance and also Accounting Software systems. User level knowledge of MS Office to include beginner to intermediate Excel. A Trading background will be helpful.
