Job Description

The Company:Were an international PR and Communications Agency that helps the most innovate brands in the world create and share their stories- were motivated by impact and only work with teams and companies that we believe in.With offices in London, San Fran, New York, Washington and Seattle, we offer services across messaging + positioning, thought leadership, copywriting, issues management. We put emerging companies on the map, but also help market leaders reach new levels ofgrowth.This is a permanent position based in London - with the opportunity for some flexible working from home. Paying £24k per annum - rising to £26k after probation.The Role:You will be joining a dedicated, experienced London-based public relations team in a full-time graduate role. The job will offer you hands-on training and exposure to a variety of activity, providing an excellent platform to develop strong media relationships.Youll be working across multiple client accounts, as well as providing copywriting, research and administrative support to your teammates.You will be valued as an integral part of the team both by Outcast and its clients, and from this role, youll have the opportunity to launch a PR career within the agency.Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Providing account and administrative support to the team across client accounts
  • Closely monitoring the news agenda and flagging relevant stories and opportunities for our clients
  • Developing high-quality content
  • Pitching to, and building strong relationships with, journalists and other media contacts
  • Getting under the skin of our clients businesses, responding to their requests in a timely manner and proactively generating ideas to support their communications objectives
  • Tracking the teams results through coverage scans and reports
  • Building a strong understanding of our clients industries and the issues that affect them
  • Researching new business opportunities and sharing timely insights with the team
The ideal candidates skills and attributes:
  • You are a mature, confident go-getter with strong attention to detail.
  • You enjoy rolling up your sleeves and digging in, and you take pride in the quality of the work you deliver.
  • You have excellent writing and communications skills, are full of ideas, and are looking to sink your teeth into a job that promises exposure to inspiring people that are transforming our world.
  • Youre enthusiastic, inquisitive and eager to learn, and you thrive in a team environment.
  • You are comfortable working autonomously, but are not afraid to ask questions.
  • You are excited about working in a startup environment and having exposure to a wide range of activities and responsibilities from the outset.
  • Educated to graduate level with a 2.1 or above degree
  • No specific work experience is required
  • We expect candidates to show a demonstrable interest in the media and why it matters
  • Good writing skills are essential for this role
