Job Description

Technical ConsultantWe are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic technically minded person to join our clients Technical Consultancy Team.salary range of 35 - 40K based on experience.The role is London based primarily working remotely / predominantly at client sites within central London. There will be a requirement to travel to other UK client sites and also to visit our Taunton office to engage with the other technical team members on a monthly basis.Personality is also key! This role really represents the company as its a face to face direct link in to their clients.We are looking for someone confident/ well mannerd and have the ability to be agile in there delivery of 3rd line technical support / project deliveryAs part of the Technical Consultancy Team you will Providing IT Support / Technical Consultancy directly to their managed service clients in central London. This role will require a dedicated approach to specific client requirements with regular scheduled support days at our client sites each week.This role requires a key focus on customer care and getting the job done well. It is expected that alongside the scheduled client site visits this individual will have the ability to work from home and be able to travel ADHOC to customer sites across the UK with extended travelling hours.The successful candidate will have considerable practical IT experience at working with multiple clients and the ability to adapt quickly to different client technical requirements. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, be people focused and be a creative problem solver is a must.As a Technical Consultant we are looking for someone who can represent our client to a high level and be a team player supporting the other the technical functions of the business. Sharing knowledge and producing documentation should be second nature. Flexibility around client site visits and the desire to succeed is a must.This role is varied, and no two days are the same. This role will lead a variety of interesting project implementation s along with being the primary point of contact to high profile clients. We are looking for someone who is excited by technology; someone who naturally keeps up to date with the latest technologies, techniques, initiatives and changes in the industry.ResponsibilitiesIndustry Knowledge & Expertise:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role is a must
  • Previous experience of working with an MSP desirable
  • Experience of working at multiple client sites a must
  • Ideally Microsoft Certified Professional or certified within Microsoft Office 365 management and administration to an advanced leve
  • Advanced Office 365 Administration & support including SharePoint & Teams (experience of Migration Projects desirable)
  • Teams Voice services support & administration
  • IT Administration and Support of both Desktop and Servers across Windows & Mac OSX operating systems
  • LAN, Wireless Network Skills
  • Firewall Administration / Troubleshooting
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery Technologies
  • Remote Desktop and Thin Client Technologies
  • Virtualisation, Administration and Support (DaaS/ VMWare / Hyper-V)
  • Advance administration of Active Directory / Group Policy
  • Experience working within a Managed Service Provider environment and use of ITIL service tools (Remote Monitoring and Management, Helpdesk)
  • Essential Skills / Experience:
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure during challenging times
  • Full UK Driving License and access to your own transport.
