Senior 3rd Line IT Support Technician Location: City of, LondonWork Model: Onsite with 1 to 2 days remote per weekStart Date: End of FebruaryInterviews: To commence on the week starting February 5th.Current IT Setup:Our IT infrastructure involves multiple computer points and database systems, managed by a current IT team consisting of one Senior IT professional and one 1st Line support member. As we continue to grow, there is an increase in workload, necessitating theaddition of a Senior 3rd Line IT Support specialist to the team.Responsibilities:-Handle ad-hoc projects, policy configurations, and migrations.-Manage and troubleshoot multiple computer points and database systems.-Work with Office 365 in a soft environment.-Administer Active Directory across three different areas connected to Azure.-Support various desktop environments, including Windows (10 and some 11) and Apple Macs.-Maintain and troubleshoot servers using Microsoft Server 2016/2019 with Active Directory.-Undertake network installation, configuration, and administration at all layers, including physical layer, switching, bridging, Ethernet bonding, and software routing/firewalling.-Demonstrate expertise in Linux systems.Requirements:-Must have strong Linux experience-Strong experience in network installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.-Knowledge of switching, bridging, and Ethernet bonding.-Experience in software routing and firewalling, including iptables/netfilter/nftables and pfSense.-Familiarity with network environments featuring multiple VLANs.-Solid background in Active Directory administration.-Proficient in managing Windows (10 and 11) and Apple Mac desktops.-Expertise in Microsoft Server 2016/2019.-Strong Linux experience.If you possess the skills and experience required for this role and are excited about contributing to the growth of our educational institution, we encourage you to apply.
