Job Description

First Achieve Recruitments engineering department have a fantastic new opportunity for a ERP Administrator. You would be working with our client who is a multi-national professional within the design and manufacturing industry who specialise in Naval Defence.The ERP Systems Administrator will report directly to the Senior ERP System Administrator and will be involved in integrity, administration and development of the companys ERP systems and associated solutions.Whats on offer:

  • Permanent position
  • Monday-Thursday (4 day week!)
  • Salary £22000-£29000 (DOE)
Responsibilities:
  • Create new instances, refresh, and clone databases as required.
  • Troubleshoot problems in a timely manner.
  • Manage and administer backup and recovery of Oracle and SQL server databases including disaster recovery strategies.
  • Create and manage a change management log including purpose, justification and approval of change.
  • Conduct periodic audits for system access.
  • Ensure system safety and manage access rights to the system(s).
  • Ensure all patching is carried out within the timeframe laid out in the companys cyber security management policy.
  • Plan, test and install system updates as necessary.
  • Lead and own issues or projects.
  • Manage code migrations from development through to production.

  • Oracle administrator skills
  • SQL administration skills
  • Good general IT skills
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Problem solving and aptitude skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proactive approach to learning
Desirable skills:
  • ERP system administration experience

  • Networking skills
  • VMware experience

  • Microsoft server experience
