The Company Able Bridge Recruitment are partnering a family run wholesale business based in Edinburgh in the recruitment of a credit controller on a permanent basis. The role has been born out of the businesses continued growth which they have experienced overthe past few years.The role reports into the owner(s) of the business and will be working alongside an already established credit team who are currently stretched and in need of additional support.The role is based in the companies head office which is also the operational headquarters of the firm. The business prides itself on being inclusive for staff at all levels and recognises that every role in the business is of equal importance.The ResponsibilitiesYour primary objective in this role is to provide appropriate, relevant and considered credit control to a ledger of clients. The businesses that our client transacts with are exceptionally loyal and the DSO is well within the range that our clientworks to. However, the business is growing rapidly and additional support is required to ensure the team runs in a smooth and efficient way.On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;Work with the sales teams in establishing credit limits for new clients.Work with teams internally to ensure that invoices are accurately raised and posted (on the GL).Contact customers to ensure invoices have been received and the product delivered was up to expected standard.Reconcile client statements to ensure bacs payments are allocated to the appropriate invoices.Allocation of payments to invoices including the allocation/investigation of suspense account.The RequirementsWe seek a dedicated and diligent credit controller (minimum of 2 years credit control experience), and who is seeking a role within a business that prides itself on being ahead of their competitors. Confident engagement with customers, colleagues and the management team are crucial competencies to be successful in this role.
