Job Description

Permanent opportunity for a production, assembly, or electronics technician to join a growing business that offers secure employment along with interesting and varied work. This role would also suit ex-armed forces personnel with experience of hands-ontechnical/repair experience of electrical, electronic, or avionic systems.Variety: You will work on a range of different products for the specific industries the company supplies to.Secure employment: The business is part of a global group that has recently agreed to long-term supplier partnerships and secured over £10million of business from several customers.Excellent benefits: On top of your salary, you will receive a potential annual bonus, private medical cover, pension (matched at 5%), 25 days of holiday plus Bank Holidays and a range of other benefits.Flexible working hours: You will work a 40-hour working week with flexible start and finish times (7:30am-9:30am start time and 4pm-6pm finish time).What you will be doing:

  • Assembling of products utilising both mechanical and electrical/electronic skills
  • Soldering of electronic components on occasion
  • Working to meet production and assembly targets in line with customer requirements.
  • Contributing to quality control processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Participating in improvement activities including making suggestions of where processes and procedures could be improved.
  • Completing any required paperwork.
  • Performing additional duties as required.
What you will need:
  • Experience in assembling electromechanical products with good electrical and mechanical skills
  • IPC-610 training or certification is desirable.
  • To be willing to undergo (and be able to pass) UK security vetting.
  • Previous experience of being in the armed forces (army, navy, RAF, etc.) is desirable.
What you will receive:A salary of up to £26,000 (dependent on experience, possibly more for the right person) + pension, potential annual bonus, private medical, 25 Days holiday + Bank Holidays, etc.The working hours:Standard working hours would be 8:00am-4:30pm Monday to Friday (40 hour working week), but the company does offer some flexibility around start and finish times (7:30am-9:30am start time and 4pm-6pm finish times).How to Apply:If you are a production/assembly/electronics technician or an ex-member of the armed forces who wants to work for an expanding company in an interesting and varied role, please click apply.
