Job Description

THE POST IS PERMANENT OF THIS POST IS SECONDMENT FOR 12 MONTHS DUE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN APPLYING FOR THE SECONDMENT POSITION, YOU MUST OBTAIN PERMISSION FROM YOUR CURRENT LINE MANAGER PRIOR TO APPLYING FOR THIS POST. We provide healthcare services to people living in Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf county borough areas, serving population of around 450,000. There will be a requirement for some weekend and evening working depending on the needs of the service. These posts will work across three localities with the CTM Health Board area to provide a consistent approach to patient care and service delivery.The Advanced Nurse Practitioner will support the ANP Lead in the development of the mental health outpatients’ service provision across Mental Health in Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTM UHB) and act as a resource in instigating and providing clinical services.Successful candidate will function as an autonomous practitioner (and Independent Prescriber when qualification attained), providing advanced clinical expertise, which will include aspects of both acute and chronic mental health management, and will be expected to work within their level of competence and to work flexibly as part of the team.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.Closing date: 12th November 2020For further details / informal visits contact:Jacqui Parry & Lynne Garwoodjacqui.parry@wales.nhs.ukext. 74917Lynne GarwoodLynne.Garwood@wales.nhs.ukext. 74917
