Job Description

Assistant Accountant wanted to join this leading UK, manufacturing business due to growth based in Llangadog.They are now looking for a new Assistant Accountant to work with their Finance Controller, someone who wishes to develop and grow within an Accounts role in a busy FMCG industry.Maybe you are already qualified within Accounts or you are already a Trainee Accountant then this maybe the perfect opportunity for youWhat will you be doing as the new Assistant Accountant

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain Fixed Asset Register and process monthly Fixed Asset Movements
  • Sales Reporting - internal reports for management and external reports for customers
  • Calculate customer over-riders and rebates
  • Assist with maintaining Sage system, set up of item codes, products groups, customers and suppliers
  • Monthly credit card reconciliation and maintaining petty cash
  • Assist in the execution of monthly stock takes and perform stock reconciliations
  • Produce weekly outstanding PO report and resolve issues with PO originator
  • Prepare/Assist in the preparation of weekly KPI information
  • Purchase ad hoc items as and when required by the business
  • Update Raw Material contract purchase file and purchase orders
  • Process Month end Journals
    • What do you need as the new Assistant Accountant
  • AAT/ACCA qualified or other equivalent qualification maybe you are working towards a qualification at present(QBE candidates with the relevant background and experience will also be considered)
  • Ideally you will have Accounts experience within a similar role in manufacturing/FMCG
  • Highly competent with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and be able to manipulate and interpret large volumes of data.
