NHS Wales is creating a world-leading National Data Resource (NDR). The NDR is being developed to better enable health and care professionals to improve patient experience and service outcomes. The NDR aims to deliver a more joined up approach to health and care data, using common language and technical standards. It will improve the way data is collected, shared and used across health and care organisations in Wales and will drive forward the interoperability of health and care systems. The NDR will provide improved analytics capability and will enable better decision making for clinicians, operational managers, data scientists and other decision makers and users of data. This is an exciting opportunity to play a lead role in the delivery of a truly transformative programme. We are recruiting a Senior Product Specialist to be based at Aneurin Bevan, leading the local health board NDR activities. The role will be responsible for taking the lead on new projects and advise and influence health and care organisations in Wales on product areas for the NDR through networking and presentations. The successful candidate will be the senior technical lead responsible for key aspects of specialist services for the NDR programme. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.Closing date: 30th December 2020For further details / informal visits contact:NameLloyd BishopJob titleAssistant Director of Performance & InformationEmail addressLloyd.Bishop@wales.nhs.ukTelephone number
