The successful post holder must be a Registered Nurse, with the qualifications; skills and experience. The post holder must also share our ambition and vision to deliver excellence in patient care and will have a passionate desire to make a difference to our staff; patients; their families and carers – and are committed to driving forward our service.We are looking for candidates who will work well and within our existing Haematology team and who can demonstrate strong clinical, leadership and communication skills. The successful candidate will have experience gained in an acute setting and will be committed to continuing to develop their skills, knowledge, and leadership in a fast paced environment.The post holder will oversee the delivery of the key aspects of personalised care and support which including holistic needs assessment, care plans, treatment summaries and health and well-being events for patients with haematological malignancies, as well as signposting patients to support services. The post holder will be supporting a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of specialist care to ensure patients are cared for in a safe, caring and comfortable environment. This will include meeting their holistic needs by effectively communicating with the wider multi-disciplinary team, patients and their families.The post holder will be expected to provide advice to patients, ward staff clinical staff and the wider multi-disciplinary team.
