Job Description

Job Title: Re-furb & Development EngineerPay Rate: £11 - £12 p/hHours: 40 hours / Monday - Friday + OvertimeLocation: LiversedgeContract: Temp to PermStart Date: ASAPThe opportunityAre you a fully skilled mechanical / electrical engineer with a passion for problem solving, looking for a new opportunity within a thriving company.The RoleOur leading client in the field of expertise are looking to recruit an experienced mechanical/electrical engineer to work in a new department in the business. They have a constant supply of used tyre machines, compressors and balancers which at the moment they store for future use. This new role would be to evaluate the machinery in stock and refurb the parts and equipment to a sufficient standard that they can be reused by our parts department and service engineers.This could be an exciting role for a capable mechanic with an enquiring mind who enjoys and is motivated to practically solve mechanical engineering problems. If you are successful in this role there is huge potential for you to work with the Directors of the business on new developments and testing design ideas thus helping the business move forward.Essential Skills / Experience

  • You must hold a relevant mechanical qualification to at least City & Guilds Level 3 or ONC in Motor Vehicle Engineering.
  • You will need to have a passion for solving mechanical problems and
  • The role is a physical one therefore you will need to be energetic, fit and healthy with a positive outlook on life.
  • You must hold a full UK driving licence and have entitlement to work in the UK.
  • You will need a flexible approach to work schedules.
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical principles and repair procedures
  • Ability to apply knowledge to practical situations working on compressed air equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions, reading and understanding electrical schematics and diagrams.
  • Have a flexible approach to work which is sometimes outside normal working hours.
  • Be confident and be able to discuss problems at all levels.
