Job Description

Are you a Quality Engineer who is looking for a new challenge, if so this position will be of interest to you I am now working on behalf of a large, fast paced manufacturing business located in Liversedge, West Yorkshire. This position will sit within thecurrent Quality Team responsible for Quality functions including, Quality Management Systems, Root Cause analysis, Inspection of shop floor products and continuous improvement activities.Client DetailsLocated in Liversedge, West Yorkshire my client manufacture and supply products into a range of industries and currently employ over 200 employees on site. Due to internal changes my client has the opportunity to recruit a highly ambitious, driven QualityEngineer to join the team. This days-based position will come with strong future progression opportunities, and will play a pivotal part in the growth of this department.DescriptionReporting into the QHSE Manager as the Quality Engineer you will have responsibility for updating quality management systems, communicating with clients on pending failures and shop floor quality improvement projects. You will play a pivotal part in improvingcustomer relations, and making sure products supplied are meeting customers expectations.Other Duties Include:

  • Maintain certification and approvals deemed necessary for the business to achieve its goals and objectives.
  • Identifying quality concerns across the production site.
  • Root Cause analysis including Inspection of products.
  • To liaise professionally and competently with the customer and employees on quality matters
  • Drive Continuous improvement across the manufacturing area.
  • Liaise with customers regarding quality issues and enquiries.
  • Perform and support internal audit programme
  • Draft quality plans and inspection and test plans as required.
ProfileTo apply for this position you will have Quality Engineering or some Quality experience gained within a manufacturing environment.Other requirements include:
  • Proven experience in a similar role (2 - 5 years)
  • Proven experience in updating accreditations for ISO.
  • Production & Manufacturing awareness partnered with a strategic mindset.
  • Understanding of the production process and lead time acceptance.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ambitious, Organised, Structured.
  • Ability to manage and control areas where necessary
  • Key people skills and the ability to integrate with other departments where necessary
Job OfferThe salary for this position will be between £25,000 and £38,000. This is a days based position and will come with strong progression opportunities. Please apply for more information.
