Job Description

Trainee Technical Writer - LiverpoolThis is an excellent opportunity to work for a world-leading engineering company, you will be able to train and progress through the company and learn skills as you go! Don’t miss out!Torque Consulting is currently seeking a trainee technical writer for a global engineering company based in the Liverpool who are expanding rapidly. They design develop and manufacture on site and have recently moved into a new state-of-the-art facility.The role is available due to company expansion and will be a stepping stone to progress within the company!The ideal candidate will have, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to quickly grasp technical concepts. If you have any knowledge of Adobe products such as InDesign or Illustrator, or you have any mechanicalknowledge or have work for an engineering or manufacturing company previous you are encouraged to apply!Job Details:

  • The preparation of technical and operational documentation for Joloda products and projects.
  • Revision or rewriting of existing technical documents.
  • Use a variety of software to present information.
  • Documentation to support CE Marking and other relevant standards where required
  • Collaborating with engineers, and other technical specialists as necessary to gather information required.
  • Work on and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Work to standardised document formats, and blocks of recurring information.
  • ISO9001 and ISO14001: Ensure compliance.
  • Provide Technical Support as required.
Essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Capability to quickly grasp technical concepts and communicate them effectively through text and illustrations.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of adobe products - InDesign, Illustrator or similar
  • Mechanical engineering knowledge.
