Job Description

SEND Teaching AssistantWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to support the educational needs of students in Liverpool. As an SEND Teaching Assistant, your primary role will be to assist Teachers in creating a positive and effective learning environment.You will work with a range of additional and/or associated learning needs, sensory impairment and health needs of primary pupils; providing academic and emotional support, while fostering their personal development.Responsibilities:

  • Behavioural Support
  • Assisting with Classroom Activities

  • Record Keeping
  • Ensuring Inclusivity
  • Participating in Professional Development
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children across EYFS, RECEPTION, KS1, KS2 or KS3.
  • Experience working with children with a range of SLD and complex needs.
  • Desire to develop their understanding of SEND.
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to plan and prioritise effectively.
  • Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Be committed to the wider school life and willing to engage in a range of extra-curricular activities
