Packaging Team leader

Job Description

The function of the Packaging Team Leader is to supervise the re-pack operatives in their designated room/line to ensure that the production of all products within the factory, is carried out in accordance with company work instructions and hygiene standards.Client DetailsThe company is a fantastic family owned FMCG business who are growing at a steady and exciting rate.offering multiple products and services to their large client base.The owners are very passionate about the company culture and are regularly investing into the firm to improve the business and the workforce.DescriptionFollow instructions given by the Production SupervisorEnsure line is clean and tidy at start-up and scales are checked with test weights and operating procedures are followed to allow correct fill weights to be achievedDelegate jobs in the packing room and ensure staff rotation of packing jobsEnsure packed products are the correct weight, have the correct codes and have secure caps.To ensure that the correct number of bottles are packed in the outer boxes.Minimise line stoppage, but in the event of a stoppage, delegate staff to cleaning the line and packing roomMinimise waste and increase efficiency wherever possibleAt end of production run, ensure line filter is checked, line is cleaned, and all packaging covered and returned to store.Ensure completion of production paperwork and ensure weights and codes have been recorded. This should be done at regular intervals during production with weight recording dependent on the product being packed. Paperwork must be checked by the TeamLeader at the end of production to ensure fill weights are correct. In the case of glass packing, ensure that glass handling procedures are followed, and any breakages recorded and glass disposal is to the correct glass bins using the correct colour coded equipment. Technical to be alerted to any breakage which requiresinspection of clean-upCheck staff are wearing correct workwear, snoods if applicable and mobhats and are not carrying mobile phones.To carry out any other instructions as designated by the Production Supervisor or Production Manager as they occur.To operate equipment as required by the re-pack supervisor so that goods are produced efficiently, safely and hygienically.To maintain working conditions and equipment to standards set by the Company, enforcing Blends Policies & reporting any issuesUpkeep hygiene and workplace standards within department, ensuring PPE, Personal Hygiene and H&S rules and regulations are enforced at all timesTo carry out procedures which safeguard themselves and the health and safety of other staff.The Re-Pack Team Leader is accountable to the Re-Pack Supervisor when absent from work, cover will be provided by a designated member of staff.ProfilePackaging Team LeaderFMCG experienceSupervisory experienceDriven attitudeProcess improvement mentalityAbility to encourage and motivate staffJob OfferFMCG - Liverpool - Packaging Team LeaderCompetitive salaryFantastic company culture offering great career progression
