Job Description

Liverpool Children Services is seeking a social worker to join their Children with Disabilities Team. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly and welcoming team in the lime hub Liverpool. The role offers a very competitive hourly rate of £42ph underthe supervision of a very supportive team manager.Responsibilities:

  • Liaising/ Working close with partnership agencies to support the families and meet the children/ young peoples needs
  • Convening and chairing Core Group Meetings
  • Producing Initial Child Protection Conference reports
  • Initiating and implementing Child Protection Plans
  • Applying for and obtaining Emergency Protection Orders
  • Reviewing Financial payments received by kinship carers/ or carers granted Residence Orders/Special Guardianship Orders
  • Organising/managing packages of support
  • Organising/managing packages of care
  • Arranging short breaks
  • Providing Section 17 support to families and children in need
  • Attending court and giving evidence when required
  • Initiating Care Proceedings
  • Completion of Care Proceedings
  • Provide direct support and intervention to children with complex needs and disabilities, ensuring their well-being and promoting positive outcomes.
  • Contribute to the ongoing re-design of the service, utilising your experience and knowledge to shape effective interventions and practices.
  • Maintain high-quality case management, ensuring accurate records, assessments, and plans are in place.
Requirements:
  • * Experience working with children with complex needs and disabilities is preferable
  • * 2 years post qualifying experience
  • * SWE registered
