Job Description

A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a Head of Finance Systems in the Accounting & Finance department, specialising in the Not For Profit sector. The role requires a senior-level professional who will lead the finance function and introduce innovativesystems to enhance organisational efficiency.Client DetailsOur client is a prominent institution in the education sector with a large workforce and operations across multiple locations. They are well-renowned for their commitment to excellence and their considerable contribution to the Not For Profit industry inLiverpool and beyond. They are looking for a Head of Finance Systems to join their established finance team and report directly into the Finance Director.Description

  • Collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to shape, test and implement different change initiatives within Finance
  • Ensure a smooth transition as part of migrating to the cloud project
  • Identifying and implementing improvements and working with colleagues to identify and manage them
  • Managing the financial reporting process and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Providing strategic financial guidance and support to senior management.
  • Monitoring and controlling departmental budgets and expenditure.
  • Creating and implementing internal audit procedures.
  • Developing and maintaining productive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Leading and mentoring the finance team to drive performance and professional growth.
ProfileA successful Head of Finance Systems should have:
  • Lead finance systems change projects previously.
  • A good understanding of how financial systems are configured and how data flows within systems.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to implement and manage finance systems.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Superior communication and negotiation skills.
  • A strong understanding of financial regulations and standards.
