Job Description

The Recruitment Co are currently recruiting for a Food and beverage manager on behalf of our client based in Liverpool City centre who has experience within a high volume Restaurant or Hotel. Events experience in addition to the essential Restaurant experience would be highly advantageous. This role is full time, 40 hours per week, 5 days over 7 (varied shifts). This is an exciting role reporting to the General Manager. You will take the lead on our F&B operations inclusive of Breakfast, Main Restaurant and Events. We are looking for a confident self-starter who can use their initiative and autonomy to shape and direct procedures, standards and ultimately guest service. Therefore 2 years previous experience as a Restaurant Manager is a must. You will have the opportunityto make your mark, mould the team and influence positive sales trends, making our Hotel a destination.Up to £32,000 a year DOE The Role:

  • Responsibility for financial performance, till reconciliation and operation of the Restaurant and Bar areas. Demonstration of your ability to impact financial growth within F&B, achieving budget forecasts and KPI goals.
  • Collaboration with the Sales Team to deliver outstanding events.
  • Stock ordering, rotation and cost control. Responsibility for stock take. Reporting of wastage.
  • Analysis and action of customer feedback and reports; taking appropriate actions for improvement. Identifying areas for development and training within the F&B team.
  • Delivery of F&B role specific and F&B operational brand training to the team to ensure continuous improvement and achievement of company strategy and standards.
  • Following up on recruitment leads in a timely fashion, carrying out interviews and contributing to recruitment decisions.
  • Following company control procedures in accordance with internal audits.
  • Management and H&S maintenance of the cellar, bar, storage areas and compliance with Health & Safety legislation including HACCP & COSHH.
  • Completion of the F&B staff rota and employee time and attendance using Fourth HR Software (training will be provided).
  • Managing the F&B team; performance management, reward and recognition, absence, holiday requests, employee relations and completion of probation reviews. Proactively referring any issues or concerns to the HR Manager.
  • Motivating and upskilling your team to succeed in delivering excellence and productivity.
  • You will be a vibrant, guest focused team leader who will deliver exceptional warmth, charm and hospitality to our guests and a person who inspires others to do the same. This is a hands on role, going out of your way to make sure that your team delivera positive guest experience.
  • To facilitate and support during menu changes, inclusive of till programming and staff training.
