Job Description

Electrical/Instrumentation (E&I) TechnicianUpcoming opportunity for an E&I Technician to join a multi skilled engineering team and help with the growing business demands. If you have relevant E&I Technician experience within Chemical Manufacturing or a similar industry, contact us asap and apply.The E&I Engineer will be responsible for maintenance support across the manufacturing site looking after instrumentation, machinery, and systems, including maintenance, improvements, and modifying all types of equipment.Responsibility

  • General upkeep of plant equipment identifying and troubleshooting faults in electrical instruments and controls making required repairs.
  • Loging all maintenance tasks and providing relevant documentation.
  • Writing relevant work permits to ensure repair work is carried out safely.
  • Continuous improvement of the electrical, control and instrumentation to reduce plant downtime.
  • Carry out planned and preventative routine maintenance, breakdown maintenance, inspection and testing of equipment.
  • Ensure safe working environment conduct risk assessments and method statements for all new electrical, instrument and control work tasks that are undertaken.
  • Calibration work on various instrumentation & Electrical equipment.
  • Working with a multi-skilled engineering team assisting with maintenance projects on site
  • Ensure all company SOP’s, policies, and Health & Safety practices are adhered to.
  • Mentor, train and provide guidance to other team members.
Education/Skills required. Degree HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalentExperience working with PLC, DCS system (Sieman PCS7, BPCS)Knowledge of COMAH and DSEARKnowledge of PUWERMicrosoft Office programExperience issuing Work PermitsCMMS (Maximo) - DesirableKnowledge of ISO 14001
