Job Description

Costs Draftsperson – Housing DisrepairLiverpoolSalary - CompetitiveMy client is a collaboration of companies established in 2006, dedicated to a common goal. Their mission is to help people move forward in their lives by supporting clients, communities, and each other.The Costs Draftsperson role at my client based in Liverpool involves providing bespoke Cost Drafting support primarily in Housing Disrepair claims. This position requires working collaboratively within a team environment to meet individual and departmentalscheduling targets. The ideal candidate should demonstrate drive, determination, and ambition for a stimulating career.Responsibilities:

  • Drafting bills of costs using CostsMaster drafting software.
  • Providing dedicated costs support to colleagues within the Department and the legal business.
  • Working closely with colleagues and the Department Manager to meet drafting expectations.
  • Maintaining awareness of claim lifecycles to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Adhering to departmental objectives and maintaining departmental working practices.
  • Demonstrating initiative and autonomy in managing own caseload.
  • Liaising with colleagues to ensure adherence to legal processes and documentation.
  • Being passionate, enthusiastic, and adaptable to change within the business environment.
Requirements:
  • Degree level qualification or Qualified Costs Lawyer (desirable).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Bill Drafting role.
  • Proficiency in using CostsMaster drafting software.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and research skills.
  • Good understanding of relevant legislation, case law, and costs industry regulations.
  • Experience with Proclaim case management system (desirable).
  • Diligence and high attention to detail.
  • Personality traits include tenacity and adaptability.
