Job Description

An excellent opportunity to joing a winning team in prestious offices in Liverpool City Centre. Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, you will assist in preparing monthly management accounts for trading and holding companies of the group alongsidethe other members of the accounts team.JOB DUTIES

  • Support and assist in all aspects of the transactional processing of monthly trading company management accounts, including:-
  • Processing of purchase invoices, including capture and coding Processing of sales ledger invoices for Corporate clients reconciliation of revenue against activity, and preparation of accrued/deferred income journals
  • Processing 3rd party provider revenue and reconciliation of figures between operational systems and bank Posting of bank transactions and preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register and processing of depreciation Preparation of some accruals or prepayment journals for review by Management Accountants
  • Processing of intercompany posting, invoices and journals Assist in the following areas within the Finance Team Compiling supplier payment runs for processing
  • The review and reconciliation of investment fees charged to clients Loading of payments to bank accounts for approval Review of staff expenses for accuracy of coding and VAT recovery Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Investigation of aged items and resolution of queries Support the Management Accountants and Finance team in other ad-hoc duties as required
SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Ideally 2-3 years previous experience of working in a finance team, including transactional processing High degree of attention to detail, with the ability to self-review and error-check own work to ensure accuracy
  • Organised and adaptable with a strong work ethic Provide a fast and efficient turnaround of work and maintain an enthusiastic and flexible approach Proficient in working to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a flexible and collaborative style with colleagues and teams within the company Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels
  • AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting (Level 3) or alternative qualifications of an equivalent standard.
  • Competent and experienced in the use of MS Excel (including the use of lookups, pivot tables etc.)
