Job Description

This full-time role involves working with KS1 pupils with challengingbehaviour and autism, utilizing the schools excellent SEN facilities in an inclusive community. Immediate start available with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the SENDCo and class teachers to promote engagement in lessons and the curriculum.
  • Provide support to students on a 1:1 basis and in smaller group settings.
  • Assist children with reading, writing, and mathematics.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Desirable: Previous experience working with children in a school environment.
  • Excellent understanding of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, challenging behaviours, and developmental delays.
  • Calm demeanour in challenging situations.
  • Quick thinking and ability to act independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong behaviour management skills, creating a positive and enjoyable learning environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
