Job Description

A new opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operative to join one of our manufacturing clients in Salford M38.Salary of the permanent , full time Warehouse Operative role - up to £24000Some of the perks you can expect as a Warehouse Operative:

Our client, who are part of a large FTSE 100 group, are recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join the team at their Head Office.Role of the Warehouse Operative:
  • Supporting the booking in of goods received, packaging and despatching of new and serviced parts as well as supporting the Stores, Service and Production Team when required.
  • Unpack and check all deliveries, counting goods to note any differences in quantity and flag up any quality issues.
  • Once goods have been checked, put stock away in its dedicated location
  • Carry out regular rolling stock takes and play a part in the 6 monthly stock take process
  • Review stock levels of Kanban bins, replenishing stock levels from stores where necessary
  • Picking and packing of spare part orders for despatch
  • Lifting and carrying items of stock up to 20kgs and transferring stock between departments
  • Assist with packaging and despatch of equipment
  • Transporting stock between departments and collecting parts from suppliers
  • Ad hoc support to the wider stores, service and production teams
What the new Warehouse Operative will have experience in:
  • Prior experience working with goods in and despatch
  • Experience with various IT packages
  • A good level of attention to detail and good organisational skills
  • Able to respond effectively to changing priorities.
  • Positive, proactive, and enthusiastic personality and a good communicator
  • UK driving license
  • Counterbalance FLT licence would be beneficial.
