Yard SupervisorYou will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operations of the yard, ensuring that all products are stored, handled, and dispatched safely and in accordance with company procedures.You will lead a team of yard operatives, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to maintain high standards of performance and customer service.To build strong customer relationships with trade and retail customersKey Accountabilities...* Supervise and motivate a team of yard operatives.* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the yard* Implement and enforce health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.* Maintain a high level of customer service by ensuring that all orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.* Deal with any customer queries or complaints promptly and professionally.* Provide training and development opportunities for yard staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.* relevant paperwork accurately and on time, including delivery notes, stock records, and health and safety documentation.* Work closely with other departments, such as sales and purchasing, to ensure smooth coordination of operations and effective communication.* Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the yard operations. Implement any approved changes and monitor their effectiveness.* Previous experience within a builders merchants (essential)* A Valid Forklift LicenseSalary ranges from £28,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
