Job Description

Position: Warehouse Team LeaderCompany Overview:Join a family-run manufacturing firm with more than 75 years experience, spanning three generations!Our clients company was originally founded to reuse corrugated boxes after WW2 - staying focused on encouraging and providing greener alternatives, using renewable and sustainable sources, as well as recycled materials.Be a part of a company with a real commitment to environmental awareness.Position Overview:As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in supporting the warehouse team by ensuring efficient work procedures and provide necessary training for staff to support an effectively run warehouse and distribution department. This is a full-time,permanent position with regular working hours from Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm with early finish on Fridays.Key Responsibilities:

  1. All duties of a warehouse operative (previous experience required).
  2. To assist in ensuring health & safety legislation is complied with at all times, helping to maintain appropriate records and documentation where necessary.
  3. To organise and maintain warehouse areas ensuring that products are inspected upon unloading and stored in accordance with policy. To ensure all despatch processes are accurate and efficient, checking the correct stock is selected, goods are loaded ontovehicles safely and the quality of all products is consistently maintained to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
  4. To help with and supervise the loading and unloading of all vehicles in a safe manner.
  5. To support the Operations Manager to provide constructive feedback to staff and deliver departmental training for any new equipment, machinery or working practices in line with Company procedures, regulations and staff requirements in order to build a productiveteam.
  6. To communicate and collaborate effectively with all staff, including staff in other departments, to ensure the productivity and efficiency of all warehouse and delivery procedures are maintained and any problems or complaints are promptly resolved.
  7. To use knowledge of departmental KPIs to identify areas for improvement and to suggest adjustments to existing work practices and procedures to enhance departmental productivity and customer satisfaction.
  8. To adhere to all Company Policies, systems and procedures including ISO 9001: 2008. To actively consider risks (opportunities and threats) relating to the business and to communicate these risks ensuring any agreed action is implemented successfully.
  9. To deputise for the Operations Manager where necessary and also provide cover during their absence and holiday.
  10. Any other reasonable duties as required.
