NEEDS TO BE ON SITE IN LISBURNAn experienced electronics/communications engineer is required for the configuration and test of our range of industrial communications systems to meet customer requirements.Duties:- Configuration and test of communications hardware. - Support and development of the current products.- Suggest improvements for instruments, systems or work methods.- Investigation and diagnosis on advanced / complex problems. - Assist with training support teams on new communications hardware and software. Essential Requirements:- Degree or equivalent (HND with experience) in electrical /electronic or telecommunication engineering.- Proven experience in the configuration and test of industrial communications systems (e.g. RS232, RS485, Ethernet, GSM/GPRS, Fibre COMMs, WIFI).- Experience with various Protocols and communication methods, MODBUS, TCP, DNP3, IEC61850, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, P2P, VPNs, MMS, WAP.- RTU and SCADA configuration experience- Experience in the preparation of configuration and test documentation.Desirable Requirements:- Experience working in the power/utilities industry.Previous experience in systems engineering and architectureSpring Engineering Solutions (a trading name of Roevin Management Services Limited) acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
