Become an Arrow Self Drive Vehicle Technician and join us on our quest to become the best vehicle rental business in Yorkshire!Mechanic / Vehicle TechnicianHuddersfield HD7 Salary : Competitive + Bonus + OvertimeWith over 2,000 vehicles on fleet, Arrow Self Drive is the largest independently owned car, van, minibus and truck rental company in Yorkshire. We offer a wide range of vehicles from small economy cars, vans, luxury MPVs, and 17 seat Minibus to trucks,from several branches throughout the region. We value common sense, fair deals and a straightforward approach to doing business.We are currently looking for a qualified Vehicle Mechanic to work on a wide range of vehicles.Your normal hours of work will be Monday-Friday 08.00 to 17.30 and some Saturdays 08.00 to 12.00 on a rota basis.About the Vehicle Technician JobWorking with a well-established team in our Huddersfield workshop, you will be working across a wide range of vehicles and be responsible for the following:

  • Completing full maintenance repairs, servicing and breakdowns.
  • Ensuring that all work is recorded and carried out in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Road testing vehicles, carrying out necessary inspections and meeting servicing requirements
  • You may also aid with breakdown support as required.
To join us, you will be:
  • Qualified to NVQ level 3.
  • Have at least 3 years experience.
  • Hold a full driving licence.
  • Have a good attitude to Health and Safety and Quality working procedures.
