Job Description

We have been appointed by one of the UKs largest and most trusted providers of Latent Defects Insurance / Structural Warranties and Building Control who are growing their teams and looking for Building Control Inspectors across Kent, East Anglia, Sussex, Devon and Central England.This company has been supporting the Construction industry for over 15 years, helping Developers, House Builders and Contractors to safely and efficiently erect a wide range of projects, from self-build to complex high rise Residential and Commercial structures.Reasons to Join

  • Starting salary and benefits are very competitive (circa £40 - £50k) depending on level of experience (plus local allowances if applicable - London / Roseland allowance etc).
  • 2 Annual salary increases in addition to a profit share bonus.
  • Healthy pension contributions, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, Private Medical Insurance for you, your spouse and children, Group Life Scheme (3 times salary in the event of Death in Service).
  • Having gained considerable market share over the past few years, this business are now recognised as a reliable and quality driven, go-to provider for their Building Control and Warranty Support / Inspection Services.They have managed to attract an enviable team of Inspectors, Surveyors, Project Managers and Multi-discipline Technical Engineering staff from many of their competitors, who as a collective team keep driving standards forwards, leading to a noticeable impact in both their repeat business and ability to break into new geographical locations across the UK and in Europe.The RoleThis growth across the UK, in addition to several internal promotions and succession planning has resulted in the need for additional qualified, experienced, pro-active and quality driven Building Inspectors/Surveyors to join and work closely with developers and builders to ensure the construction or conversion of buildings is done in accordance with the organisation’s technical standards and Building Regulations, with a focus on identifying and reducing the risk of any potential faults which could result in costly repairs.Key Experience Required
  • Full Member of professional institutions: RICS / CIOB / CABE / ICWCI etc.
  • 5+ years relevant Building Control, plan check, site inspection and / or Warranty experience.
  • In depth technical knowledge of Building Regulations and other relevant construction standards.
  • Basic understanding of general insurance principals and terminology.
  • Ability to undertake site inspections to assess both quality and the cause / effect of building defects.
