Job Description

Role: Senior Accounts AssistantLocation: PirbrightSalary: £30-35kWe are looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Assistant to join a busy, motivated, highly successful and growing business.A hands on role in a small team, youll be part of a team where all ideas are welcomed while continuing to push for new better ways of reporting to support the business.Responsibilities:Sales;- Raising/posting sales invoices to Sage 50 from the Big Change CRM system - must be kept up to date.- Keep on top of credit control and planning for school/college terms, issuing reminders, liaising with clients.Purchases;- Match vender invoices to existing purchase orders on Sage, post purchase invoices to Sage with accurate coding.- Post credit card transactions (receipts are auto fetched in the CRM system).- Process employee expenses (small number to process - less than 10) by 10th of each month for payment on 11th-12th.- Prepare payment runs on the bank for approval from the FC.Cashflow;- Prepare the weekly cashflow (alternated each week between assistants) and to provide detailed email commentary for the FC to review before you issue to Directors.Month end/Balance Sheet recs;- Close month end (check nominal activity for adjs, FA, prepayments, accruals).- Reconcile the balance sheet.- Daily banking with month end bank recs.Monthly Payroll;- Working through auto generated timesheets from CRM system, liaising with engineers to prepare payroll report for the monthly payroll run, done by the FC.Ad hoc Fleet Management;- Monitoring costs like fuel cards, liaising with dealerships for repairs, keeping on top of tax and services paperwork to date.- Monitoring trackers and mileage. Adding vehicle to fixed asset and monthly journals, ordering new fleet.Ad hoc Reporting;- Assist in month end, quarter end and year end close processes.- Assist in yearly budget preparations.- VAT submissions.- Run monthly CIS return.- Ad hoc duties to support the FC.Required Skills;- Proficient in use of Sage 50.- Experience of processing CIS invoices is desirable.- Must have good Excel skills (pivot tables, V-Lookups, sum ifs).- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage their own workload and meet deadlines.- Excellent attentions to detail.- Analytical thinking.- Ability to work alone.- Problem solving skills.- Proficient in the use of MS Office, Outlook and Excel.- Full driving licence.If you feel the above specification matches your professional background, click apply.
