Job Description

Tool Builder/Injection Moulder:We are looking for hard working individuals with a good eye for detail and a knack for putting things together, to join our team in Coleshill Birmingham. We need Tool Builders and Injection moulders to assist in the productions of tools and parts in a varietyof industries.Tool Builder/Injection Moulder Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Tool building/fitting to meet the production planning schedule
  • Work with the in-house toolroom to help maintain/repair existing tools
  • Participation in the trialling of new products
  • Assisting with tool trials
  • Use of manual machinery i.e. turning, milling, drilling and surface grinding
  • Working with 3rd party subcontractors
Job Objective or Tool Builder/Injection MoulderTo manage the tooling producing a wide range of injection moulded components for our own product portfolio. Ensuring mould tools are serviced, set up to specification, operating to planning requirements and are available for production when required. Witha strong focus on development, the role will be working closely with Mould Tool Setters, with the opportunity to attend external training courses and develop toolroom skills.Completion of this assessment will indicate competence across basic Injection Moulding activities:
  • Safely set and operate injection moulding machines
  • Prepare and manage tooling
  • Build mould tools
  • Manage production documentation
  • Participate in new product and material trials
  • Quality control
  • Health and safety
  • Continuous improvement
  • Personal responsibilities
