Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Applications Engineer, Development Engineer, NC Programmer, CNC Programmer, 5 axis Machinist, 5 axis Machining, CNC machining, CNC, Machining, Engineering, Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, Defence, Nuclear,Oil & Gas, Medical, Manufacturing, Location: Lichfield / Tamworth, Position: Permanent, Salary: Negotiable depending on experiencePRODUCTION ENGINEER - 5 axis, Permanent, Lichfield / TamworthEMBS Engineering is working in partnership with a leading, growing engineering company that manufactures small to medium sized precision components for a number of high profile industry sectors including Motorsport.Based near Lichfield our client is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join their existing team to help support future growth and deal with the current demands of new and existing customers.The business has seen tremendous signs of positivity and is actually currently in a better position now than they were pre-covid, therefore, demonstrating strong orders, customer relationships, a well as signs of greater stability within precision engineeringindustry sectors like automotive and motorsport.Working on a permanent basis this opportunity offers stability, longevity coupled with chances to progress internally.The purpose of this role is to provide day-to-day production engineering support to the CNC machining department, specifically working on 5 axis machines, overseeing products from cradle to grave.Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Strong machining background
• Held a similar role within a precision engineering environment i.e NC Programmer, CNC Programmer, Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Development Engineer, Application Engineer
• Worked in an engineering / manufacturing environment where the company has machined small to medium sized parts for industries such as: Engineering, Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Defence etc.
• Ability to program using Hypermill or SolidWorks CAD/CAM software
  • Other softwares would be considered
• Ability to prove out programs using Vericut (training can be provided)
• Capable of designing jigs, fixtures, and work holdings in Solidworks (other software packages will be considered)
• Proven experience in producing programs for 5 axis machines using Fanuc & / or Heidenhain controls
• Experience in working with various materials from high-grade aluminium, steel, cast iron, and other exotic materials
• Prove out your own program and parts
• Ability to demonstrate the use of modern machining methods including lean manufacturing principles by looking to identify new ways to improve existing practices and techniques
