Operating from more than 270 locations across England, Scotland and Wales, Maximus UK is one of the largest providers of employment, health and disability support programmes in the country.Working with key stakeholders and partners, from a position embedded in the local community.This role will be required to support a caseload of young people (16-24 years) who are not in education, employment or training and who have a learning disability and/or difficulty; and or fit the target groups of the programme. The Employment Coach will be responsible for providing impartial information, advice and guidance throughout each young person’s programme, and delivering short programmes of group development activities tailored to individual needs. You will also be expected to deliver personal development activities that are differentiated to meet individual needs that motivate young people and build their confidence, and provide ongoing pastoral care and coaching to move young people closer to a positive outcome. To be responsible for progression outcomes in full; achieving moving young people into Employment, Education or Training.Job DescriptionESSENTIAL Recent experience of working with young people in group and/or individual settings topromote achievement Experience of working with NEET/and/or disengaged young people Excellent verbal, written and communication skills with ability to engage with a wide range ofpeople from a wide range of backgrounds Influencing skills that promote commitment and action Customer focused with a strong commitment to customer care Disability Capability with demonstrable experience of supporting individuals with mental ill health and other health conditions and disabilities Strong team player with a positive and flexible approach to both work and colleagues Creative problem solving skills and a positive approach to challenging and overcoming limiting beliefs Aware of the principles of data protection legislation and partnership codes of practice covering the recording and sharing of information about our participants Knowledge of safeguarding, equal opportunities, health and safety Ability to plan and organise workload to meet required targets and deadlines Experience of meeting and exceeding on programme outcomes and targets Experience of working with employers to develop job opportunities for participants Attention to detail and ability to work to a defined delivery structure Able to work flexible hours and travel through prior arrangement as the needs of the job dictateDESIRABLE• Level 4 Advice and Guidance qualification or equivalent Experience of mentoring or advocacy Holds Mental Health First Aid QualificationNote: As well as possessing the necessary qualifications, skills, knowledge or experience, having the right mind-set and behaviours which are in line with our company values is equally important.
