Our client is a not-for-profit organisation that work within a number of areas to improve society, such as Justice, Education and Employment. They deliver an exciting contract which aims to help ex-offenders to re-integrate back into society and stop them from offending. Working as part of network of providers, your role will be to work with a caseload of approx 35 offenders to help them get ready for their release by making them more employable.You will be allocated a caseload of clients who are nearing release from custody with the aim of preparing them for reintegrating back into society. You will meet with your clients, and after assessing their situation, put in place milestones for them to move towards employment or education. You will meet with clients on a regular basis, each time assisting them with employment support, job searching, or even engaging with employers and educational providers on their behalf. Taking on board their needs, you may also refer them to partner support providers as needed (i.e. substance misuse or specific mentoring).To apply for this role, it is essential that you have worked within the employment and training sector, ideally with long term unemployed people.
