Job Description

Maths Teacher

Reed Education is actively seeking qualified and dedicated Maths Teachers for permanent roles within reputable schools across the Lewisham, Lambeth, and Southwark boroughs. This is an excellent opportunity for Maths Teachers who are passionate about impartingknowledge and facilitating a love for mathematics among students. Day to Day of the Role:
  • Delivering inspiring and interactive Maths lessons to students up to GCSE or A-Level, adhering to the UK curriculum.
  • Preparing educational materials, lesson plans, and homework assignments.
  • Assessing student progress, providing feedback, and setting targets to encourage academic growth.
  • Implementing effective classroom management techniques to maintain a conducive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop new teaching methods, materials, and assessments.
  • Participating in parent-teacher meetings and school events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience in teaching Maths to GCSE or A-Level students, following the UK curriculum.
  • Available to work a minimum of three days per week.
  • Proven ability to manage classrooms and promote a positive learning experience.
  • Strong track record with ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ observation ratings.
  • Ready to complete necessary compliance checks, including Enhanced DBS and employment references.
